File and folder manipulation

• open an explorer window
  On 98: Start / Programs / Windows Explorer
  On XP: Start / All Programs / Accessories / Windows Explorer
• double-click a folder name to navigate to that folder
• use the "UP" button to go back up a level (or press the backspace key)

• right-click in explorer window
• select new
• select folder<
• type in folder name and press ENTER

• - right-click in explorer window
• - select rename
• - type in new name and press ENTER
• - be CAREFUL not to change extensions ( .XXX )
• - extensions are how Windows knows what application
• to use to open filewhen you double-click on it
