Home, Home on the Web: Building Your Own Web Site (or CD)
Learn how to create basic Web pages and transfer your files to a
Web host or CD-ROM, plus tips on good Web design. This course
covers the pros and cons of many Web development tools but concentrates on
teaching a basic understanding of Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML - the
language of Web pages) and Web site design that
will be useful no matter which tools you use.
You will
create Web pages using a basic text editor and test them using a Web
browser; discuss what should and should not be included
on your Web site, whether you need your own domain name, how to
find a Web host and transfer your files to it for access via the
World Wide Web,
