Computer Services and Fees
Web Site Design, Digital Photography, Image Editing, File Organization
I provide the following digital and computing services for a fee of $30.00 per hour plus expenses:- Entering your genealogical data into a computer.
- Developing charts of your genealogical data on a computer for printing on letter or large size paper formats.
- Designing and creating a website from your genealogical data or a website for non-genealogical purposes. Assistance can be given in locating a Web host service, if needed. The sample biography of Samuel Christopher Johnson, Sr. demonstrates how a CD or website might work with links to census images and with photographs and maps. This is only one example as there are hundreds of options that could be used for Web and CD viewing. A sample cemetery site can be seen at Cushing, Texas Cemetery - Richards Plot Map.
- Designing and creating a CD-ROM from your genealogical data including links to photographs and images of documents.
-
Digital photography of tombstones, buildings,
and other East Texas landmarks and landscapes.
Sample images of Cushing, Texas Old Railroad Depot and Headstones are shown. - Scanning and image editing
to enhance and repair family photos.
Sample before and after shots of a baby photo demonstrate editing results.
- Services not listed above may also be considered.
For these computer services I need the following items:
- your specific request (photograph a tombstone, input family data into a genealogy program, create a genealogy CD-ROM to allow easy viewing of your genealogical data, etc.)
- the current state of the files to be supplied (loose documents, printed genealogy or family group sheets, GEDCOM file of data from a genealogy program, photograph or scanned image of a photograph, etc.)
- approximate number of persons and families involved if the request is for more than just a tombstone photograph or similar simple task
